New Franchise Openings
101 Mobility Opens Knoxville, TN Franchise
Keith Kregel, Dave and Lori Dean, Franchise Owners, are proud to announce the opening of 101 Mobility Knoxville. This opening will add to 101 Mobility’s 19 franchises nationwide. Keith Kregel and the Deans intend to be Eastern Tennessee’s leading source of trusted residential and commercial accessibility solutions.
When asked why Eastern Tennessee, Dave shared a personal story to explain how important it is for them to serve a growing yet overlooked sector of their community, “My parents reached a point in their lives when getting around the house became difficult. We looked at eliminating steps, adding grab bars, modifying the bathrooms… During our research, we quickly realized that there wasn’t a local place to go or someone to talk to that we could trust. 101 Mobility is the answer for anyone wanting intuitive mobility advice and solutions.”
101 Mobility Knoxville will strive to help clients maintain their sense of freedom and dignity by installing top-tier mobility products ranging from stair lifts to wheelchair ramps and more. Call 865.896.9425 or visit http://knoxville.101mobility.com for assistance or additional information.
101 Mobility Opens Columbus and Cleveland, OH Franchise
Jeff and Lisa Franklin of Massillon have opened the newest 101 Mobility franchise, operating through Central and Northeastern Ohio, from Columbus to Cleveland. 101 Mobility Cleveland/Columbus will serve three territories in Cleveland and two territories in Columbus with comprehensive personal mobility solutions for both home and business.
The Franklins have lived in the area for the past seven years, and have two children both students at Ohio University. Jeff hails from a background in the building products industry specializing in both contracting and manufacturing, for the public and private sectors, for the past thirty years. Prior to this, Jeff pitched for the New York Mets from 1977 to 1982. Lisa served as an Accounts Payable Manager for a public corporation in New York prior to relocating to Ohio where she has spent the last seven years raising their children.
The Franklins decided to change career directions toward a more customer-focused industry. They felt that 101 Mobility offered them the opportunity to help people achieve and maintain their personal mobility and independence. The Franklins recognize the cultural shift for aging people to "age-in-place", or stay at home versus moving to assisted care facilities or in with family. "Being able to be cared for at your own home, rather than a hospital or facility, offers emotional and financial comfort for our customers", says Lisa Franklin.
101 Mobility Opens Gulf Coast Franchise
Chris and Cathy Hunter of Mandeville have opened the newest 101 Mobility franchise, operating along the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and Mississippi. 101 Mobility Gulf Coast will primarily serve the Greater New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Mississippi Gulf Coast markets with comprehensive personal mobility solutions for both home and business.
The Hunters have lived in the New Orleans area for the past 25 years, and bring with them years of professional experience. Chris Hunter, a Navy veteran who attended the University of Oklahoma, has worked in industrial and consumer sales. Cathy Hunter comes from a long career in healthcare, working in medical sales and management for Johnson and Johnson for the past two and a half decades. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Tulane.
The Hunters recognize the desire for the aging population to seek solutions that allow for them to age in place. “The baby boomer population aging, coupled with the multitude of raised homes in the area, provides a great opportunity to fill a need to make homes more accessible”, says Chris Hunter. “We look forward to generating creative mobility solutions for the communities in the Gulf Coast region.”

Husband and wife team Bruce and Debra Dowden of Cedar Park are the owners/operators of 101 Mobility’s latest Texas Franchise serving Austin and surrounding areas, from South Austin to Waco. 101 Mobility Austin will join the Houston and San Antonio franchises in a recent string of 101 Mobility openings across the Lone Star State. The Dowdens share a particular interest in helping the senior community, and felt that 101 Mobility offered a well-rounded model for assessing and supplying the mobility and accessibility needs of the seniors and mobility-challenged in their market. "Our goal is to be able to look back at the end of the day and see that we have helped people", says Debra Dowden. "Through that, we hope to add value, not only to our lives, but to the community as a whole."

Vin Bahuguna's professional background includes IT management and involvement in several IT startups; and holds a Master's in Management Systems Analysis.
Singh says that he chose 101 Mobility out of six other business concepts, because it offered him the three major components he was looking for: the ability to help others with their needs; the ability to give back to the community; and the ability to generate a decent income to support his family. Bahuguna stated, "I was attracted to 101 mobility because it’s the nation's first successful franchise and has strong visionary leadership. Most of the franchise owners and the management of 101 Mobility came from varied domains and it made it more attractive as I did not have any background in the mobility Industry."

Riordan grew up in Alexandria and has a long history of working and living in this fast-paced market. When asked why he chose the 101 Mobility brand, he said, “I evaluated over 100 franchises over the past five years and wanted something that serviced the growing senior demographic and allowed me to use my business and marketing experience and entrepreneur passion. I felt like I hit a “home run” when I learned more about the 101 business model and brand.”
